ጤና ይስጥልን! (Tena Yi-si-t’i-lin!) The Ethiopian Association of KW and Surrounding Area is a community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to connecting and empowering the Ethiopian-Canadian community through programs that support children, youth, and families, promote health and well-being, advance economic opportunities, and foster civic engagement. EAKW celebrates and preserves cultural heritage while strengthening belonging and connection across generations.

  • Family Counseling Service Now Available
    The Ethiopian Association of K-W is pleased to offer a new volunteer-led family counseling service. Our volunteer-led family counseling service. our volunteer conselor. Dinku Korsa, MSW, RSW, is a regestered social worker with experience supposrting families and youth in waterloo Region. He provides a safe, private, and respectful space for couples and families who are experiencing conflicts, struggling with children’s behaviour, or simply feeling overwelmed.
    When: Saturdays, Starting May 16,2026 | 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM
    Where: Room 1042, The Faily Centre, 65 Hanson Avenue, Kitchener
    Cost: Free
    Appointments Required: Please book through the email or phone number listed on the poster.

    First session is just for listening – no pressure, no Commitment.
